What attracted you to working at Trilogy International?

At the time I was working at the same wealth management company I had completed my Uni placement with.  I was approached by a Rec to Rec who convinced me to go into the office to meet Dan Fox (one of our Managing Directors).

Within an hour I was sold, Dan was incredibly welcoming and genuine. We sat down and chatted for an hour, and then I met Jamie Bernstein (another Managing Director). It was good vibes from day one. Recruiters often get a bad rep, but these guys were so down to earth and were genuinely interested in getting to know me as a person.

What was your background in recruitment prior to joining?

I had no experience in recruitment! I had just graduated with a degree in Economics from Nottingham Uni, and had spent a little time doing nightlife / events promotions as well as working in wealth management.

How has working at Trilogy helped you to progress your career?

I was fully supported from the get-go; thorough training and development gave me tools I needed to fully understand my market and what I needed to do to get the job done.

It was very hands on - for example I was taken on meetings so I could learn first-hand the required skills to be successful from the best in the company.

The support has continued at every stage of my career here so far.  I feel fully supported and encouraged to be the best I can be and ultimately earn as much as possible.

What’s been your favourite part of working at Trilogy so far?

Without a doubt the people and the culture. Everyone here is down to earth, and without egos! There's a great culture of everyone helping everyone, no matter what level they are within the company.

Constant information sharing (and no hiding!) means there's a real feeling of working towards the same goal and so we support each other's success in that sense.

What’s been your highlight moment?

Probably being awarded for outstanding achievements within the company within such a short amount of time, and progressing to Principal Consultant within 2-3 years.

What's your advice to anyone wanting to get into recruitment (especially as a grad)?

I think that if you like dealing with people and you have a good work ethic, you may have what it takes to be successful. The sky really is the limit in recruitment!

And finally, the best thing about working in recruitment?

I love the fact I can work autonomously; I've really enjoyed perfecting my craft and building up my network over the last few years. Another big benefit is the lifestyle this job enables me to enjoy.
